Phone2 / Phone2.io reviewBe very careful with this service. They advertise that their numbers work for two-factor authentication with banks, but in practice this is misleading. In my case, they did receive an initial verification text from Bank of America when changing a phone number, but Bank of America will not send authorization or security codes to a VoIP number for live account verification. That makes the service unusable for its intended purpose. When I requested a refund, it was denied. Phone2 claimed “proof of service” based only on the initial verification text, which is not the same as full 2FA access. This distinction was not made clear before purchase.Bottom line: the service may receive some SMS messages, but it does not reliably work for banking or secure 2FA, and refunds appear difficult or impossible once you pay.
