I bought a black frame and it has what appears to be Sharpie marker visible on the front (can happily provide photos) at the corners. It’s sort of subtle but decidedly not a professional finish.
Also, unless I have completely misunderstood something, the hardware provided to attach the canvas seems to be the wrong size. The offset clips are too short to lie flat against the back of the frame and the canvas at the same time. It’s not a problem with the rabbet depth for the canvas, the “bottom frame step” as described in the instructions is slightly taller than the offset clips that are meant to sit on top of it. Again, happy to provide photos of the gap.
