If you're thinking of buying a Pishock you probably haven't heard of OpenShock. Check out OpenShock first! The components of these hubs is worth max 10 bucks each and the shockers are worth max 20 bucks each, all can be sourced cheaply elsewhere.Pishock overprices their product greatly and justifies it with their software, development and services but all of these are lacking. Support in their discord is slim and for example one of their biggest selling point apps, MultiShock, is currently broken and not being updated as the dev himself admitted to prioritising other projects. and since this software is closed source and he's a solo dev it doesn't get worked on at all. The dev of MultiShock also has several AI generated software projects which leaves me very little faith in the likelihood or quality of future updates to that software.Overall when I discovered OpenShock exists and has better software, great community support, a working Discord bot and a working Desktop app, I realised I felt completely scammed by this company. and their returns policy are obviously not great but this is justified by "it comes into contact with your body". If they really believe in their product and services and respect their users it would make a lot more sense to proportionally increase the cost of the hub and lower it for the shockers which they do nothing to develop except print their logo on - and then accept no questions asked returns of the hubs. If you charge 90-100 bucks for a hub and 25 for a shocker, it'd still be pretty scammy feeling but a lot better for those users who decide after use they don't want the product anymore.
