Unfortunately, we got caught by them instead of using a local, recommended plumber.
The ‘so called’ engineer arrived with no ladder and no torch to inspect a tank in the loft. He stood on the toilet and said the tank needed to be replaced at a cost of nearly £6000!
A local, recommended plumber arrived with a ladder and torch to find the problem. He said that the tank was in good condition and repaired a minor electrical problem on the timer for a fraction of the cost.
When we complained to Plumbing Force and asked for a refund of our initial £144, they replied with what I imagine are their stock answers and refused to refund.
A lesson learnt! I say again, avoid this company.
