I’m genuinely shocked at how poor my experience with Pockit has been.
I started using them a few months ago after a recommendation and initially gave them the benefit of the doubt. At the end of February, my account was suddenly restricted and stayed that way for nearly **3 weeks**. During that time, I couldn’t access my own money, which meant my rent was delayed and I was **threatened with eviction**.
I understood that reviews happen — but what’s happened since is completely unacceptable.
After finally getting my account back, I received legitimate payments from my girlfriend (for rent) and a colleague. When I tried to pay my rent, the payment bounced and my account has now been put under review AGAIN… literally just weeks after the last 3-week review.
I am now being told if my rent isn’t paid, I could lose my home. I’ve lived there for 2 years with no issues — and now I’m facing eviction purely because I can’t access my own funds.
I’ve already provided:
• Proof of employment
• Payslips
• Confirmation from my company director
So why am I being restricted again?
Reviews are one thing — but doing them back-to-back, taking weeks each time, and completely blocking access to funds is having a **serious impact on people’s lives, finances, and reputation**.
This situation is beyond stressful and completely avoidable if proper checks were done the first time.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious. This experience has been incredibly disappointing.
