Disappointing Nightmare

My experience with PODS has been a nightmare since the beginning. A PODS representative recommended that I only needed 1 16 ft POD. I questioned him/her because I had a 3 bedroom house with 2 living areas and a patio. Your representative insisted that One 16 inch POD was enough. Of course, when comparing prices, if you don’t quote the correct amount of PODS needed, your price is much lower. It seems like a gimmick to get people to sign. When I compared prices, PODS was the lowest. (However, in the end this move cost me more money than any moving company I interviewed.) I hired movers for one day to load my belongings in 1 POD. Not even 1/2 of the furniture fit in it so I needed to get another POD delivered another day and HIRE movers for the second day! There was still not enough room so I was forced to give away a buffet table, foyer table and shelves that I had bought 3 years ago. On top of everything PODS charged me more for the second POD storage rental. When I questioned it, The representative told me that they were charging me more bc I did not order the PODS the same day which was 100% YOUR representative’s fault. When I was ready to move in, I was told that PODS was charging me November rent for one of the PODS bc of the delivery date. PODS actually charged me rent for BOTH PODS. I called and one of your representatives told me that she was confident they wouldn’t charge me rent and then asked for a review Your people play games. I was told one thing and then charged. It went to be reviewed and basically said I was wrong without addressing every issue I brought to their attention. I thought the worst was over but when it was time to move, and the PODS were delivered to my new home, you could actually see water coming out of the bottom of one of the PODS. My 6 year old granddaughter said “Why is there water coming out of that POD?” Not dripping but a flow of water. My couches which were very expensive, were wrapped and covered but sat in that water throughout the summer into fall. In addition, tables were also damaged. I bought all this furniture new in Raleigh 3 years ago and have the receipts. The damage is tremendous. Your company has shown me that it does not care about its customers. I don’t understand how your company can operate this way and stay in business. I didn’t have the option for zero stars. I don’t feel the company deserves the one I was forced to give them. I was also asked to give a date of this experience and only had the option to pick one date. That is not fair because this all started in June and continued into November.
