We got here 1 hour early, paid for speedy boarding, had the slowest French man on border control that didn’t care that people were in a hurry, typical!
Paid also for speedy boarding and missed the ferry. The next ferry was 2 hours later so we had a 2 hour wait which is poor by any standards at peak times 😡

Business Details

  • With more than 185 years of rich heritage and experience, P&O Ferries has been connecting the UK and Europe for nearly two centuries. Our history and our lifelong drive for innovation helps us be the reliable ferry operator you know today, bringing the latest technology to our fleet to deliver sustainable travel in comfort.

We sail across the English Channel, North Sea, and Irish Sea, employing 1350 people around our network. Our fleet of ships includes two hybrid-powered state of the art Fusion Class vessels being delivered in 2023, the newest ferries on the English Channel. Taken together, our ships make nearly 20,000 sailings every year.

Our passengers travel with us on major routes connecting the UK to France and the Netherlands, and our domestic route between Northern Ireland and Scotland. We also operate continental hubs at Zeebrugge and Europoort, and overall we carry around one fifth of the UK’s goods trade with Europe.

We are the busiest ferry operator on the famous Dover to Calais route, the UK’s shortest crossing to the continent of Europe and with the arrival of our new ships we will make further substantial reductions our carbon footprint, having already cut our carbon emissions on the Channel crossing by 85,000 tons.

We are proud to keep the UK connected to our nearest neighbours, giving families unforgettable holiday experiences, keeping the UK supplied with vital goods from around the world and supporting national prosperity, and bringing a new generation of ferries to our fleet with sustainability at their heart.See more
