Very disappointing experience with P&O Ferries. We had tickets for the 22:25 sailing and arrived about 45 minutes before departure, but were told at check-in that we were “late” and were moved to the next ferry, meaning a 3.5 hour wait.
While waiting in the queue, the ferry we were supposedly late for actually arrived, unloaded cars, boarded new vehicles and departed almost 20 minutes late. It was obvious we could have boarded, but no flexibility or human understanding was shown.
Because of this unnecessary delay, our children will have a very difficult morning at school and my wife and I will face a long day at work. Very frustrating service.
