I've had my Polar M400 for about 8 years. I bought it on sale for 50% off, it was the last one they had. When I tried using it there was a problem with it, I can't remember what it was. Polar asked me to send it in, they replaced the part that wasn't working and sent it back. I had an issue which turned out to be an error on my part but when I called them I ended up speaking to the guy who actually fixed my watch! Amazing! It worked great for about 5 years until I accidentally put it through the laundry; washer and dryer. The screen was blank. I plugged it in, the battery charged fully and all I had to do was reset my settings. It continued to work perfectly for 2 more years. Then last summer at the track, a button got stuck and I couldn't end my workout or use the watch. I sent it to Polar, they replaced the entire main body of the watch, actually I think it's basically a new watch. They had it back to me in about a week. I just paid for postage. I run about 3 or 4 times a week and really missed this watch while they were repairing it. The battery life works well for me. My longest runs are about 2 hrs. I don't wear it 24/7. I never really think about the battery life, it just charges when I upload workouts.I had a look at newer watches when I thought I'd have to replace it and they seemed to be very expensive with basically the same features except for the screens which were in colour instead of black and white. Love this watch, love Polar customer service. I do wish I could set a custom HR range with having to adjust the HR zones but it's a minor detail.
