Ordered mother of the bride dress some three weeks ago. Dress arrived, tried on, must say that it is a beautiful dress. Problem, very tight shoulder area and under the arm so movement is restricted. Second problem, bodice has padded boob area which are too far near the neckline to even try to get your boobs in and once in, if you do move your arms your boobs just fall out leaving a bulky pouch at front of dress. When corresponding with company, they first asked me to try a tight bra with the dress, it’s off the shoulder so the straps would be seen but this doesn’t work neither or tape or a strapless bra. I have now been informed that I should take it to a dress maker and get the padded bra area removed from the dress at my expense. This will not alter the fact that the dress it tight around the top of the shoulder arm area and why should I go to the expense of having a brand new dress altered. All I want to do is return the dress which is within my rights as a customer. Update, been to a dress maker offing to do alteration for approx 30/35 pound. Got in touch with company as I just wanted to send dress back. They send no problem, but had to be registered, packed accordingly and other stuff which they said would cost about 35 pounds to return. They also offered me 50 percent discount and 15 percent discount if I shopped with them again. I ve accepted the 50 percent discount as if I didn’t I would still lose out. The refund was put into my account straight away. I ll take the dress to the dress maker and get it altered. The dress may or not not worn. Pleased I got some return on my purchase which was done fairly quickly.Overall I am now satisfied and I do love the dress. The refund will take care of the alterations needed.
