Have always found Pound A Metre an honest, responsive business to order from. Have bought interfacin

Have always found Pound A Metre an honest, responsive business to order from. Have bought interfacing, wadding and corduroy in the past - all as described and exactly what I needed for the job in hand. This time I received some free samples of crepe chiffon, a new line they are introducing. I was not disappointed! A lovely sturdy but very floaty fabric with an even weave in three gorgeous colours. Perfect for scarves, decoration for weddings etc, floaty (lined!) tops or dresses etc. Would definitely recommend xx

Frustrating Experience with My Order

I ordered fabric as a gift for my mom, and the entire experience has been extremely disappointing. It took about 5 days just to ship, which was already too late since I had to leave for a holiday. After roughly 10 days, the delivery service attempted to deliver, but I wasn’t home. On their second attempt, they marked it as delivered, even though no one was available at that time. Now that I'm back, my postcode doesn't allow for full tracking with the delivery service. I've reached out via email and phone to the seller—no response. The delivery service also just redirects me to voicemail. My neighbors don't have the parcel, and I'm genuinely at a loss for what to do next. This was my first and definitely my last experience shopping on this platform.

Great free bundle gift for crafting enthusiasts

This is a free bundle gift that includes 2 fat quarters, a zip, and thread for a small lined bag or pencil case. The quality of the fabrics was good, both being of the same weight, which is crucial. One fabric was dark blue and the other featured a bright magenta pattern, making it puzzling why the zip and thread were brown. (I opted to use my own zip and thread.) The two fabric pieces were sufficient to create two decent pencil cases, with enough leftover for a third. The instructions were satisfactory, but for beginners, including a sketch or two would be helpful. Overall, a nice concept. Offering a variety of kits could enhance the experience, possibly catering to different skill levels.

Free gift bag kit

Free gift bag kit included - cotton outer fabric, cotton lining fabric, iron-on interfacing, zip and thread. Good quality fabrics that washed and ironed well. Easy to follow instructions except, maybe for the optional box corners which might be tricky for a beginner. Would recommend

Great free crafting bundle for enthusiasts

This is a complimentary crafting bundle that comes with 2 fat quarters, a zip, and thread for a small lined bag or pencil case. The fabric quality was solid, both pieces sharing the same weight, which is essential. One was dark blue while the other had a vibrant magenta design, leaving me curious as to why the zip and thread were brown. (I chose to use my own zip and thread.) The two fabric pieces were enough to create two decent pencil cases, with some leftover for a third. The instructions were adequate, though adding a sketch or two would benefit beginners. Overall, a lovely idea. A wider selection of kits could improve the offering, potentially addressing various skill levels.

I love the quality of the fabrics

I love the quality of the fabrics. I have used their light interfacing today and have found it to be a good quality stick well and gives good support.

Good fabric

Love the free fabric to make a small makeup bag, the 1/2 metre of interfacing was a bonus as was the cotton and zip, lucky I knew how to box corners as new sewers may need a video tutorial to help them, overall the material sewed up well.

DIY Pencil Case/Makeup Bag Kit.

DIY Pencil Case/Makeup Bag Kit.Everything provided in the kit. In fact there was enough material, interfacing and cotton to make 2 bags. The only thing I had to supply to make the 2nd bag was a zip. A zip was provided in the kit to make the original bag. Materials provided were of a good quality. The bag is fully lined.Instructions provided were clear and enabled the bag to be completed easily.Kits will make a great gift for someone, either to make themselves or to be made up and given as a gift.

Items arrived quickly

Items arrived quickly. The fabric felt soft to touch but felt it needed to be a bit more substantial for the bag or thicker interfacing. Instructions a little hard to follow for a beginner. Perhaps a short video would help. I made a mess of the zip ends but got over it at the end. Love the idea of fabric kits.

Trial pack of new fabrics and…

Trial pack of new fabrics and interfacing also matching thread and zip. Very impressed with co-ordination of colours and quality of all the components. Prompt delivery and packed well but not excessive packaging. Washed fabric before cutting out, minimal shrinkage and easy to work with. Would be happy to test future products and cover postage costs again.
