This whole experience has been so incredibly frustrating. I was told they had my engine in stock at one of their facilities, but I later was told that they had bought it from a third party. The engine arrived at my mechanic's. They swapped it out. Then, during the initial test drive, a bolt fell off, and one of the cam phasers came loose, rattling around inside the engine. I had to start a warranty claim, which they are the absolute worst for. I had to pay out of pocket to have their colossal mistake fixed. I received no correspondence after emailing the receipts and requesting reimbursement, but I was told it takes 30-90 days, after approval after calling their customer service line. The woman who answered my customer service call was extremely rude and even hung up on me. But there's more! Then I find that they put an UNAUTHORIZED charge on my debit card because the core wasn't returned. My mechanic never received the shipping paperwork from them, despite numerous attempts to obtain it. I'm absolutely livid. I paid thousands of dollars, hoping to feel some sense of security in having a newly remanufactured engine in my truck, but really, I'm left wondering what else will go catastrophically wrong and how unwilling will Powertrain Products be to make it right. I'd seriously give zero stars if I could.And now you want me to change my review?? I still haven’t been reimbursed me for paying the shop to fix your defective engine. Quite the opposite? Really? You’ve failed at every turn except charging me for your mistakes and asking me to change my review. Your 90 days are almost up and I WILL be calling the bbb the very next day if my money isn’t returned. Rest assured.
