I wish you could go on without any STARS. POWERTRAIN PRODUCTS’S
BAD COMPANY. Purchased a transmission 8/18/25 lasted 30 days and the run around with powertrain employee was a big game. They lie and you can’t be smartass cause they say you just said… well play the recording of our phone call and you will see that nothing was ever said about price for warranty work. 1/26/26 when Dan said about you just said the 2.6hrs was cause that is what I was being told with the last few calls to powertrain on 1/19/26, 1/26/26 Derrick and 1/26/26 from Dan. I could go on without my book but I want to stay short so everybody takes there business elsewhere.
So if you type something in search bar please don’t buy from powertrain. They will pop up cause I hear it’s about the way they pay for advertising. We type in Jasper transmission and did check into before buying cause life stuff was going on. DAN from powertrain equals headache plus I can attach email stating he messed up 10 days later from being told that a replacement part was sent. If you send email you get no response.
I also contacted the BBB about this company and was told that they needed the bad part to inspect which the garage put a return label on and i dropped off to ups 11/14/25. This part went to TRANSTAR and not powertrain which at the time was told they don’t deal with TRANSTAR but DAN just said that is where he ordered the part from. So whoever responded to BBB lady lied to her. Which an also sent email to DAN about where the replacement part came from and to this day was never answered.
WHY DID THE TRANSMISSION LAST 30 days it’s because the way the vehicle was driven….per DAN ON 1/26/26. Come on 217015 miles on factory transmission
I can’t even let my daughter drive the car cause of it breaking down on her late at night while coming home from college/work.
SO THIS COMPANY IS FULL OF LIARS.
Hopefully enough people see this and their 2.3 star rating and take their business else where.
Purchase price 4178.94 plus 436.72 for 30 warranty work. I got 155.00 from powertrain for a 3yr warranty. So sick.

The installation kit was delivered in parts, with several items missing or defective. The resolution process took far too long, and I received no core credit or reimbursement. Months of emails led to nothing, and getting the paperwork for core return took forever! This issue began in November and is still unresolved!

I purchased a 5.4 engine that lasted about 3 months before developing a bottom-end rattle. The replacement engine also failed, and I believe this is due to inferior quality parts or poor rebuilding standards. While I understand the warranty limitations, the recurring issues are concerning.
I bought an engine for my vehicle, which arrived in good condition but soon started leaking oil and caused major issues. After extensive delays and needing to rent a vehicle, the replacement engine had its own problems, including a vacuum leak. I haven't received reimbursement for the first engine, and the customer service has been unresponsive. If I had seen these reviews earlier, I would have never chosen this service.
I bought a 3.8 engine for my vehicle in September, and it started leaking oil within 200 miles. I purchased a warranty with the engine kit but my claim was denied because I supposedly didn't follow the proper process. My mechanic found multiple leaks, and even after following their instructions, they still refused to take responsibility.
We purchased a transmission with a warranty and had to get a replacement due to failure. After sending back the damaged product, we were informed it would take up to 120 days for warranty payment. As a small business, this lengthy wait is unreasonable, and we regret recommending this service to others.
