Used Birmingham many times now and the experience is always poor with long queues for security. However, today was another level - absolutely ridiculous, an hour queue outside the terminal before you even started on the shambles inside. Signs indicate new technology being introduced - with no impact on queues while improvements are introduced, what a joke! If you're expecting to have a coffee or breakfast once you've cleared security, think again - people are having to be fast tracked through for each flight to avoid missing final call. Worst airport I've ever used
