If youre thinking of joining preply PLEASE reconsider. I have been using preply for a couple months to learn Chinese and Tagalog and the people and AI that run preply have the worst customer service ive ever seen and do not care about their clients or students.
One day I wake up, I see an email saying “I” unsubscribed from both of my tutors at 4:30AM in the morning, even though I had paid for an early renewal of my subscription a few days prior, I had only gotten to use 1 lesson!
I go to log into my account to see whats happening, and the website is telling me my account *may* have been deactivated.
I contact support and they tell me I have been PERMANENTLY SUSPENDED for violating a policy, and that the decision is permanent to which they will not “continue our cooperation or discuss the matter further”. In the same email the agent marked the matter as “resolved” and ended the thread. They did NOT tell me which policy I violated (and i cannot think of any as I have good relations with my teachers) and would not answer any questions or tell me how I can refund the credit I had just bought a few days prior!
Now I have sent at least 10 emails asking for a refund, to which every single one has been ignored.
This company is a scam, they do not care about the people or the tutors. Please find services elsewhere.
