I needed a VPN and tried the Free tier. It seemed to work fine, but a lot of websites (Google, YouTube, Reddit) are "blocked due to abuse," as you'd expect from a free VPN. Since the Premium tier supposedly had hundreds of servers, I paid for it because I expected the premium servers to work. The problem is those premium servers DON'T EXIST. No matter what country you choose, the app ALWAYS uses the same server in the Netherlands, the same server you could use in the free tier, and it won't even let you use Google without solving a dozen captchas. The "30 day money back guarantee" is a LIE. You're supposed to ask their support for a refund, but they simply don't reply.Privado might seem cheap, but when you realize you're paying for a VPN that can only use a single server that's blocked by most websites, it's less of a bargain and more of a scam. STAY AWAY. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!Edited two months later (October 2025): I couldn't cancel my subscription during the infamous 30 day period because they never replied to my requests. I can confirm that two months after my original review, no matter what country you choose in the app, you still get an IP in the Netherlands every single time. ALWAYS. Absolutely useless VPN if you want to access geoblocked websites, unless all the sites you want to visit are in the Netherlands.
