PrivyTrips.com Overcharged My Credit Card
I had a very concerning experience with PrivyTrips.com that I believe other customers should be aware of.
On February 18, I booked two airline tickets through this agency. The quoted total price for both tickets was $9,460. However, when I reviewed my credit card statement, I found that I had been charged a total of $10,056—an overcharge of $596.
I contacted the agent, Mr. Aleiste Stone, multiple times to resolve this issue. Instead of issuing a refund, he offered a $500 voucher for future use through the agency. I declined this offer, as it does not address the actual overcharge and would require me to make another purchase with the same company.
To date, the agency has refused to refund the $596 difference.
Additionally, the way the charges were processed was highly confusing. The total amount was split into seven separate charges from different sources, including various airlines and PrivyTrips.com. This made it difficult to identify the discrepancy at first. If I had not carefully reviewed my credit card statement, I might not have noticed the overcharge at all.
I also requested a detailed receipt for my purchase, but I have not received one.
Based on this experience, I strongly advise others to carefully review any charges from this agency. The lack of transparency and refusal to correct the overcharge have significantly undermined my trust in PrivyTrips.com.
