Whilst pretty pricey for basic netting and metal brackets, I'm pleased with the results. Our cat suffered a broken leg after being hit by a car and we decided we would have to confine her to the house and rear garden after she recovered. Since fitting the kit she has not escaped once, despite still being very able to scale the 2m fence we have when she was accidentally let out after her recovery.The product doesn't look horribly intrusive, albeit it isn't pretty either but you just have to accept that if you want to keep your cat confined. We were concerned about cats coming into the garden and although that has happened once that was because the corner shed (too high for our cat to climb) makes the garden accessible from outside the garden. We've seen cats on top of our garden gate however who have not attempted to jump over the barrier, so it does seem to deter that. We'll need to try to block off the shed somehow but it's a manageable problem anyway as our cats have chipped flapcat access and so can escape any intruders, who we can just let out when we find them should that be necessary.Our cat's vet bills came to £7,000 after the traffic accident (insured thank goodness!) and the kit we bought was £378, so that does provide some context to the apparently high cost. Our girl is now also much more content, as she would be constantly stressed by her enocunters with the neighbourhood cats, and she is getting on far better with our other girl, so it's win win all round.I do think that both the written manual and videos to show how to self fit are pretty poor. I'm a competent handyman and in the end had to ignore some of the instructions and make up things as I went along. There is of course some incentive for the company to also do the install themselves so perhaps that's a reason for the poor instructions, but if you think things through logically and adapt the instructions to your situation then it's not too hard a job.Overall, this did what we wanted and I thoroughly recommend it.
