We have had our ProtectaPet system for about a month, and are delighted with it. We have a small back yard and were quite concerned that it would give the place prison-yard vibes, but it blends in really well. Aesthetically, we have no complaints!Our three cats, two big athletic boys who have previously been indoor-only in our home, and one petite lady who had been free-roaming in a rural home until she came to us when her human passed, are all delighted with their newly expanded territory. They have made a few attempts to jump out, but they get stuck and just fall down again. The boys might not really be aware that the world goes on beyond the garden walls, but the little lady certainly is. Nonetheless, she has settled in and doesn't seem concerned that she can't go beyond the garden. Their lives are vastly enriched by being able to go outside. My husband and I are also enjoying the freedom and peace of mind of being able to go outside without having to fight off three determined escape artists, and we're having great fun watching them explore.The order process was straightforward. We provided measurements and photos and were sent enough materials for the installation. It does cost a bit, but it's competitive compared to some of the alternative options that we were looking at, and the cats agree that it was a good investment.As we are in Éire they couldn't do an installation for us. We were disappointed about this as we were nervous about our ability to install it correctly and safely. One box got temporarily lost in the post during delivery. When I contacted ProtectaPet they were very helpful, but it turned up eventually and we didn't need any replacement parts shipped.We got a great local handyman to help out with the installation, but realistically, if we'd had a bit more confidence, we could certainly have done the DIY installation ourselves. I would happily attempt the DIY installation myself now, having seen how it all works.We have a few areas of concern (low roof in one section and a water butt that is badly positioned), so we will probably order some additional mesh and brackets to secure these, now hat we've had time to observe and find possible escape points.I can wholeheartedly recommend this company and their solution for anyone looking to make their garden safe for their feline housemates!
