I went to the Robina store to buy a gold watch for my son’s birthday to wear on his Wedding day. The girl was helpful and I thought I had got a nice watch on special . I was told my son could come back and they would take out necessary links to fit him for free.I happily paid and left with the gift.I gave the watch to my son and he was delighted with it. Until when trying it on he said Mum it doesn’t seem to be working . I gave him receipt and said to go the store as maybe it needed a new battery. He could get links taken out at same time. When he went the next day to Prouds Robina they checked the watch and found it to be broken. They would not return my money as I wasn’t with him but he did have the receipt. I was absolutely horrified that I had bought him a broken watch and that Prouds were keeping my money hostage (would only give him a gift card) for a watch that was broken when it left the store. He did not like any other watches there and we shopped elsewhere and had to pay more and Prouds still have my money. Not good enough. I can’t believe they can get away with selling broken goods and not refining my money
