I unintentionally agreed to a regular subscription when I purchased a one-time report from publicrecords, and didn't noticed the charges on my bank account until two months later. Fortunately, when I called customer service the rep was incredibly helpful and straightforward and canceled my account, plus refunded the most recent charge. When I sent a detailed email to customer service after the call, they graciously refunded the other unintentional subscription charges. It seems dodgy that they don't send initial emails with notification of automatic subscription sign up or details or account management, billing period, payment amount, etc. They need to be more transparent about the subscriptions and terms and conditions. But luckily they have great customer service to help resolve issues like this!
