When I first rented my unit, I was told the rent would be around $90 per month, but the price kept increasing, often more than once a year. Within two years the rent had risen to $245 a month, which is a massive increase for the exact same unit with no added value or improvements.
What was most disappointing was the lack of consideration for customers on fixed incomes or with disabilities. When I explained my situation and asked if anything could be done, the only suggestion they offered was that I should move to a different unit, which isn’t a practical solution when you already have a unit full of belongings.
The constant price increases make it feel like the advertised rates are just a way to get customers in the door before raising prices repeatedly. If you choose to rent here, be prepared for the cost to increase significantly over time.
