I decided to upgrade my video editing PC as the direct consequence of Microsoft condemning our existing perfectly good Windows 10 PC to the scrap yard. After some consideration and research I chose Punch Technology to build a more powerful machine. The bill came to £2500 and suggested build time of approx 3 weeks. The machine was built on time and shipped to us via DPD. The DPD driver inexplicably dropped the well packaged PC over a garden gate onto a flagstone path (a 1.4 metre drop). Bad luck for DPD in that I have good CCTV that recorded it all.Initially, after unpacking, there was no obvious damage, and the new PC booted-up okay. However we were plagued with intermittent black screen crashes. I contacted Punch Tech and we went though a series of investigations to establish the cause of the black screen events. This took a number of days effort as the symptoms/causes were not clear. We jointly came to the conclusion that it was best if I returned the PC to Punch Technology for their investigation (no cost to me).Eventually Punch Technology had to replace the motherboard, the power supply unit and the expensive PC case. They'd been damaged during the DPD PC delivery "accident." Again no charge to me. The repaired PC has now been back with us for one month and is working just fine.Throughout this process the Punch Technology team were highly professional and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.edit 13/11/25 - correct minor typo.
