First, I like Pureology's shampoo. I like it enough that since I can't buy it locally, I set up a subscription back in April through the company to have a bottle delivered every six months.I received an email yesterday morning that my Pureology order had been completed. I panicked because I had not placed an order. I also had not received the typical email that companies always send a few days before a subscription order is about to be completed. I thought at first that my account had been hacked and then realized that no, Pureology just didn't send any notification that this order was going to go through.I immediately contacted the company, just a few hours after they sent the email. I received an email back that it was too late to change the order (again, this was just a few hours after they sent me notification that my order away placed--those Pureology workers sure work fast, and on a Sunday, no less!). The email told me that I could mail the shampoo back--at my cost. I called the company and was told again that it was too late to cancel and the company would not give me a pre-paid label to ship it back. Both times I reached out to Pureology, I told them that I had received no notification that this order was going through and I had no window of time to change my order. I was informed both times that no notification is standard company procedure. All other companies that I have subscriptions with always, always send notification a few days ahead of time at least, and I always have an opportunity to cancel the order if I don't need it. What horrible and scammy company practices that Pureology does not do the same.So I cancelled my subscription and I will never use Pureology again. There are lots of shampoos out there that are just as good and more highly recommended by my hair stylist.
