Good efficient process throughout by means of the Financial Advisor that I was obliged to engage at my expense. The necessary funds were provided after agreement had been reached over the terms offered. My only ‘bad feeling’ is over the fact that despite valuations of our property from estate agents in Hayling Island and Chichester in excess of £900,000 (and the same from ‘online’ valuations I was required to pay £580.50 to their valuation person (from Chichester!) to tell them that the house was only worth £780,000 and we could only have the required funds if we accepted a higher interest rate based on this valuation. The £580.50 was a lot for two pensioners, in need of funds, to have to find. I realise they have to protect their investment but I feel that the level of risk was over estimated.
