Disastrous Experience with Shipping

I'm giving this a 1-star rating because that's the lowest I can go. My recent experience was so poor that I would rate it at -10 stars if possible. I acknowledge that the customer service representatives made an effort, but the shipping and delivery process was a complete failure. They lost my new smartphone. Thankfully, I didn't pay for it upfront. I have many negative things to say about the service, but I'll hold back. According to the tracking information, my package was on a delivery truck and was supposed to arrive on Christmas Eve, but it never did. I understand that it's a busy time, but after that, it seemed to vanish during transit back to the depot. Following the customer service team's advice, I contacted the tracking department, but that was pointless. They were friendly, and I eventually received an email stating they were giving up the search for my phone. I expressed my frustration with the situation, but not to the agent directly. The issues caused by this service have resulted in significant grief and wasted time with my cell provider, time that I won't get back. I'm currently in limbo, waiting for their investigation and claims process to resolve, all due to the negligence in shipping and tracking. I suspect my phone may have been stolen. Now, whenever I want to make an online purchase, I have to ensure it isn’t shipped via this service. I will reach out to customer service before buying anything to confirm the shipping method. I can't trust this service anymore. If that's who a company uses for shipping, I will avoid doing business with them. I know it’s not right to say this, but I honestly wouldn't mind if this service went out of business. I don’t wish for job losses, but I find it hard to care about the company after this nightmare. This has been a perfect example of how not to operate as a business.
