I strongly advise you to avoid using QR-Code.io under any circumstances.They offer a 10-day free trial that seems generous at first — but what they don’t clearly tell you is that all the QR codes you create will be deactivated as soon as the trial ends, even if you’ve already printed and distributed them.Their own site misleadingly claims that your QR codes “won’t go anywhere” after the trial — which most users would reasonably interpret as “they’ll still work, but you can’t edit them anymore.” That’s not the case. The codes are completely deactivated, and anyone scanning them gets sent to an error or upgrade page.This is especially damaging if, like me, you’ve printed those QR codes on posters or flyers. After your trial ends, your entire campaign is broken unless you pay — and the only options are overpriced monthly or “lifetime” plans. There is no static QR option, no way to make your code work again without handing over money.This is not just bad UX — it's a deliberately deceptive business model designed to trap users once they’ve already committed to printed materials.And let’s be honest: all the 5-star reviews here look suspiciously fake. Anyone who’s actually used this service long enough to hit the trial limit knows the reality.Use literally any other QR code generator — there are many with transparent policies, free static codes, and actual support.This is the worst QR code service I’ve ever encountered. I’m actively warning others so no one else wastes their time, money, and trust like I did.
