Bait and switch scam. Everyone that makes QR codes generates them for free. They cheat you saying it's free then after their trial ends they deactivate it and hold it ransom. If you have printed material, that's especially horrible.
Avoid at all costs, absolutely criminal and should be removed from business with the owners jailed and barred from using the internet or any forms of communication other than their own unaided voice to individually apologize to each and every person they scam.
