As a Quickbooks desktop user for a decade now, I thought I should migrate my 2016 version to online, I thought it would be a simple process.
How wrong was I, Quickbooks seem intentional to block this process, 2016 version can't do it now, 2021 UK version (last desktop) now blocked too.
Documentation is wrong too.
So I asked support, was only directed to movemybooks service, tried that, it failed. Missing most data from invoices and told I can't try again.
3 Support calls, the last also gave up on me saying he could not help despite me sending backups, the first 2 support calls didn't know anything about the desktop versions.
Wasted a day of my life trying.
I don't understand why Quickbooks go out of their way to prevent migration now, it's almost like they're saying too late.
