Disappointing experience

Unfortunately after moving into our property and dealing with Quinovic for a few months, my household and I feel we need to review to give potential tenants a realistic gauge. We moved in days after our agreed date to a significantly dirty house, entirely uncleaned after the previous tenants despite the property being vacant more than a month. We were informed of this 2 hours before we were due to collect our keys - the delay was due to no cleaning and a bathroom in unusable disrepair. It has been a fight for communication and responses, and a number of needed remedies have been unacknowledged or minimised. We were waiting for over 3 months for reimbursement of rent for the days we were delayed moving in so they could clean, which culminated in a cleaned oven and a wiped down bench. Visible debris (bugs, food, leaves, flaked rust) remained throughout the home, to the point we had to clean the entire house ourselves before setting anything down. After leaving our last rental immaculately clean, having a full 2-storey house to scrub was devestating. We have been communicative, understanding and patient to our limit, but have been disappointed. We are now surprised whenever we do have a response to communication we send, as it is so infrequent and usually hard won. We can no longer stand by our earlier google review, which they asked us numerous times to post in the month leading up to our scheduled move-in date.I do not negatively review lightly and it pains me to do so given my generally empathetic nature. This is reflected in the 2-star rating as opposed to a 1-star, as we are grateful to have a house to live in given the competitive rental market. To this, I cannot say whether our experience has been due to our property manager specifically or speaks to the branch/company in general. I would be willing to update this review should Quinovic turn their property management around and our future experiences differ. In the meantime, I would recommend to prospective tenants that they ensure all communication is in writing and that photographs of the entire property are taken immediately on moving in. Be prompt in raising any issues to help minimise delays in response and to hopefully prevent problems escalating while waiting for resolution.I would recommend to Quinovic that they review how they prepare a property for new tenants (I think 'as you would expect done for you' is reasonable), as well as set and adhere to prompt timelines in regards to both communication and resolution of property maintenance and issues.
