Taken half way home to Chievley services with the time now around 17:30 where I was to be met by another RAC patrol. I was then advised I would need to wait a further 4 to 6 hours. Completely unacceptable. Contacted RAC to be told that’s the best they can do. At this stage I had to pay a local company £185 to take me home which arrived at 19:30 and finally got home 10 and half hours after initial breakdown. If I had to wait the expected time for the second patrol to take me the rest of the way who knows what time we would have got home. Really let down by RAC yesterday and if I could score less than 1 I would. Poor service, poor communication and would not recommend to anyone.
