During my trip to San Diego, I made a booking with Radical Storage so I wouldn't have to carry my bag around the city with me for the day prior to leaving. I was led to believe that I was renting a personal, storage locker. When I arrived at the location (Santa Fe Station), there were no lockers to be seen. I received an email from an unfamiliar email that told me to give them a call regarding my storage reservation. I called the number, and the person on the other line directed me to a vacant room in the train station with a keypad lock. He gave me the code and the door opened to reveal a vacant office with bags, strollers, and garbage all over the place. He told me that I was to leave my bag here and that I could retrieve it using that code at any time. I was carrying a valuable laptop, as well as many important personal belongings, so I didn't feel comfortable leaving my bag in this room where anybody with the code would be able to open it. I ended up using Amtrak's baggage storage service instead. When I attempted to contact Radical Storage, the day following the incident, I received an automated reply from a bot saying that they do not issue refunds unless there was an emergency. They advertise 24/7 customer service, but I have not been able to get in contact with someone yet despite calling, chatting, and emailing them. I would absolutely NOT recommend their services to any traveler.
