I was forced to migrate my Talk Talk TV account to Rakuten TV. Some of the titles I had bought and paid for with Talk Talk are unavailable from Rakuten, which is a bit poor, really.I was given Rakuten points in compensation, which are enough to buy about three or so movies, or rent maybe five to seven or so.We just rented Paddington 2 [HD] using some of those points. The viewing experience was mostly good, until about fifteen minutes before the end of the film. The sound started to drop out, the picture quality dropped, and then the playback began to stutter. This went on for a few minutes until the stream failed completely, booting us back to the main menu. We closed the app to test our internet speed, which was its usual, stable 50-60 meg, (we're also using a wired ethernet cable connection, not Wifi). After rebooting the app we continued playback and these issues continued, kind of spoiling the viewing experience.I plan to hire out a few more movies until the points we've been given run out, but I will not be spending any actual cash on the service. As for future purchases, I'll be sticking with Google Play, which has proven without fail to be a reliable and stable source of streaming movies.
