The Ravel Hotel is in a good location overlooking Manhattan on the East River with fantastic views, the staff were helpful and friendly. There is a shuttle bus to the nearest subway station and it only takes about 10 minutes to Times Square, Central Park etc. so for all the attractions it ideally located. The hotel is generally clean and comfortable, the decor is not to everyone's taste but we thought it good and different.
Okay the actual area where the hotel is cited is not particularly pretty but we thought it safe enough to walk at night in the area and from the subway etc. It could do with a little updating\makeover and general improvements but maybe this will happen once the new wing is open.
Not too bad overall.
