SCAM!!! READ THIS!!! STAY AWAY UNLESS TOU WANT TO GET ROBBED!!!In my opinion, this company operates in a way that feels like an outright scam and legalised robbery.I took out a policy with Right Choice Insurance Broker on Sunday 1st January at 2:08pm purely as a backup in case my existing insurer (Hastings) didn’t reinstate my policy. Hastings reinstated it the very next day, so I cancelled with Right Choice on Monday at around 4pm. The policy was live for roughly 14 hours.Out of £242 taken upfront, this is what happened:• £84 “setup fee” — NOT shown or disclosed when I got the quote on MoneySuperMarket• £60 cancellation fee• £25 finance settlement fee• £55 charged because THEY corrected my licence length after checking the DVLA database• About £3.50 for the actual time insuredRefund received: around £14–£16.So to be crystal clear: over £220 taken for less than half a day of cover.The £84 setup fee being hidden at quote stage is a massive red flag. If I had seen that, I would never have proceeded. Charging £55 to amend details they verify themselves is beyond ridiculous. Then stacking multiple fees for cancelling within 24 hours is nothing short of predatory.This does not feel like an insurance broker acting in good faith it feels like a business model built around trapping customers with hidden charges and punishing them financially for cancelling.Call it what you want, but from my experience this was exploitative, misleading, and disgraceful. I feel completely ripped off.I would strongly urge anyone considering Right Choice Insurance Broker to avoid them entirely unless you’re happy to lose hundreds of pounds almost instantly. I will never use this company again.If this matter is not resolved fairly, I will be escalating it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.Also I sent them the latest letter of my no claim bonus of 4 years they rejected it and said send us the latest one there was nothing else I could send them, they just wanted to reject it to increase my premium, they would have said I don’t have any NCB cause I can’t provide proof absolute thieves!!
