We just got our tent and we're so excited we set it up in our den. Oh my gosh we couldn't believe it! We are two sisters in our seventies and we just about gave up camping. We are bound and determined to go to every state park and national forest in New Mexico. This change is so much for us. Our main drawback was the stupid tent. We had tried several pop-ups. Okay for 30-year-olds but not for us; still way too complicated. We are going for our first trip on Sunday. City of Rock State Park New Mexico. Smack dab in the middle of the Chihuahuan desert. I will give an update when we come back. We are so excited!
