My family including a baby in a buggy walked 1mile+ to 702 Ditton Park bus stop this morning to catch 702 to meet family in Kensington High street.We got to the bus stop in good time.702 was coming but sign said SORRY BUS FULL...The driver didn't stop & made a hand signal to suggest we wait for the next bus...What does that even mean? Wait for another bus coming soon?Or what for the next bus, 1 hour later?What might have been nice is the driver stop & advice us of what was going on,then we can decide what to do.Previous people waiting at the bus stop told us that was the 2nd full bus to pass..We were so cinfused & angry about what we should do...wait for the next bus? What a lottery.We did wait another hour for the next bus...SAME THING!! So 3 full buses & all of us idiots waiting for a bus that was MAYBE going to let us board.In the end, we contacted our family to say we were going back home.What a lot of disappointment which partly could have been avoided if your website added some useful words like, 702 buses tend to be extremely full at this time of year so do consider avoiding bus in case of disappointment...There is NOBODY we could contact to ask the simple question of how likely was it that an emptier bus would come along or was it worth is waiting.All we coukd see was messages that Reading busses are operating a full & reliable service!There was nothing indicating red flags or to help us make a decision to avoid this time of year.Literally everyone at the bus stop was repeating the words about Broken Britain..I would like to speak to someone from Reading Buses about this matter.I have been a very loyal user but feel nervous now & quite put off using the bus as i never want to waste time like that ever again.You have an app & website.Let us COMMUNICATE with real people on it & make sure your updates appear on your app.It's not a reliable service is it, if countless buses are full & we are guessing about when we might be able to board..Very poor
