Purchased a Backrack on 10-23-2025 for a 2017 Ford F350. RealTruck has acqured Backrack and are exclusively sold and distributed by RealTruck. Writing this review to prevent anyone else from getting burned.
RealTruck shipped the associated Backrack brackets immediately, unbeknownst to me, the rack itself was out of stock and not listed out of stock upon purchase.

On 11-26-25, with no rack in my possession, I emailed customer service. The response, "Due to ongoing supply chain challenges, our production team is experiencing a backlog that has affected fulfillment timelines. Part 15018 is now expected to be back in stock the week of 12/22/25" On, 1-2-26, shipping confirm was sent and to be shipped out in "5-7 business days." On 1-14-26, the rack in question was finally shipped. On 1-24-26 I had finally received the rack.

Upon opening the package, I noticed the box was significantly damaged, the rack was banged up, the end caps on the top of the rack were broken off etc etc... All caused from improper packing. The steel Backrack was shipped in a flimsy cardboard box, and placed in a plastic bag, not a single piece of foam, bubble wrap, or packing peanuts in sight. After further inspection, the quality of the Backrack I had waited three months for couldn't have been worse. The bottom steel tube was bowed, none of the other bars were on the same plane. Printed on the box, made overseas.

I called customer service to voice my complaints, sent photos via email, and was told I was to receive a replacement. This was the same day on 1-24-26. I had then sent an email on 3-26-26 requesting an update on the shipping of the replacement rack. "Good news, these are finally here and orders should be going out soon, you will receive email with the FedEx Tracking info after shipped." Today is 4-16-2026, I still have no replacement rack.

I was a prior customer of Backrack before the buyout by RealTruck for a 2018 F150; when Backrack was still manufactured in Canada, the product is now manufactured overseas with no regard for quality control. They have chosen poor quality control over making a quality product and having repeat customers. I had purchased a Magnum rack for my personal 2022 F250, the month prior to purchasing this Backrack for a company truck. Install couldn't have been easier, manufactured out of aluminum, packing that prevents shipping damage, high quality control. Lesson learned, spend the extra $200 to buy a higher quality product that isn't slapped in a box with no regard and have their product in stock ready to go to work tomorrow. My review won't be changed if I ever get the replacement rack nor could they pay me to change it. BUYER BEWARE.
