Rented at Malaga airport. We had full insurance, no franchise, no deposit, SUV. It costed less than 200EUR for 4 days during Easter break. We got a brand new car and it was impecable. We waited a bit to pick up (mabye 30 min) but it was normal due to vacation time-the guy at the counter was super nice and helpful. Drop off took 5 seconds as they didn't check anything due to having full insurance-we just left the key and told them where we parked. Reading the reviews, I believe the way to go is with full insurance/no franchise/no deposit-is more than affordable and it's not worth the hassle to not do it-but must be done before hand to get a good deal-I overherd the guy next to me getting a 300eur quote just for insurance at the counter. Knowing that I don't need to film and/or photo the car at pick up/drop off and not argue over an existing or fake scratch is priceless.
