I am updating my review to reflect the full journey, from order placement to final delivery. While the parcel has now been delivered, the case remains open, as important financial and procedural points are still under review.I placed an order of over €500 with Winmau / Red Dragon on 28 November, trusting what I believed was a serious and reputable brand. One of the items was clearly shown as in stock at the time of purchase and even remained available on the website for almost 24 hours after my order. On 29 November, I received an official shipping confirmation for this same item.However, on 30 November, I was informed that the product was actually out of stock and discontinued, despite the earlier confirmations. From that point on, the situation deteriorated due to a complete lack of communication. I sent several emails over the following weeks (30 November, 10 December, 12 December and 15 December) without receiving any response, while the rest of the order remained stuck in a “preparing” status with no explanation.After escalation, replacements were eventually agreed and the order was dispatched. Unfortunately, the shipment then encountered serious customs and logistics issues, linked to a DDP handling error (DDP stated on the commercial invoice but not correctly transmitted in the shipping data). This led to customs charges being requested and the shipment being close to return.In order to avoid the parcel being sent back, I had to advance significant customs charges myself, despite the order being sold under DDP terms. While the delivery has now been completed following further escalation and human intervention, this is not where the story ends.At the time of writing, the case remains open, notably regarding:the DDP processing error,a VAT refund currency issue,and the inflation of customs charges caused by the commercial invoice being issued VAT-inclusive.I acknowledge that individual efforts were eventually made to unblock the situation, and I appreciate those interventions. However, the overall experience remains extremely disappointing, marked by poor communication, avoidable errors, and a resolution process that placed an unreasonable burden on the customer.I sincerely hope Winmau will fully regularise this situation and take this feedback as an opportunity to improve internal coordination, customer communication, and end-to-end order handling.
