Arron Jones has been teaching me for the past year and has boosted my confidence in my driving ability since a previously bad experience with another instructor. His patience, kindness and excellent knowledge of the driving test has been essential in helping me pass my test.

I had an absolutely amazing experience learning to drive with him! As a new driver, I was quite nervous, but Darren's professional approach put me at ease. Darren is incredibly patient and always explains things in a way that is easy to understand. He never made me feel rushed and was always supportive, even when I made mistakes. After many stops and starts over the years, I finally gave driving another go and met Kingsley Ugwumba just at the end of last year. Very quickly I felt comfortable and confident behind the wheel, which was a relief as I hadn't found that before!
Kingsley explained everything very well and was always calm and patient - I felt the trust! I would highly recommend him as a driving instructor, I passed first time today!
From my own personal experience, I’d advise those who are located within the region of Barking and Dagenham to not waste your money with this school. The instructor who was assigned in preparing me for my practical exam was not only impatient, but also very unprofessional. From the outset of our lessons, he would lash out at other road users, make snark comments and non-verbal gestures such as kissing his teeth to demonstrate his frustration at my driving.
The last straw for me was when he swore at me, leading up to that point he did not say a word to me on the next course of action I should take, leaving me to figure it out by myself. There came a point, I forgot to press down on the clutch when changing gears, and as a result the car started making funny noises. Thereafter, the instructor shouted from the top of his lungs abuse at me, I was in complete disbelief and he could tell which is why he apologised immediately after.
We did clear the air at the end of our lesson because I spoke on how dissatisfied I was with his behaviour, however I didn’t see much improvement in his demeanour after that. To add to that, he frequently cancelled our lessons with no explanation for a month straight. I filed a complaint about him to the school, they investigated the matter and decided not to take any further action, putting more emphasis on how I been progressing in terms of my driving rather than his behaviour.
I have ADHD and Autism. Previous driving instructors have confused me endlessly. Some were not very kind on top of that.
But, my current driving instructor, Vittesh Patel, is by far the best instructor I could have hoped for. I am able to explain to him where my brain gets stuck a bit sometimes, and without questioning it, he adapts his teaching style accordingly. He is patient, kind, knowledgeable, understands when a situation might be too stressful and never loses his cool. Top instructor!
A huge thank you to Manuel Montiero for pushing me and teaching me to drive. Thanks to his professional teaching I have passed my test first time. I would definitely recommend him if you want to pass your driving test too.

I had a great experience learning to drive with Sarbjeet Kaur as my manual driving instructor since November 2025. She was very patient, clear and has taught me so much! Her lessons were very well organised and tailored to what I needed to improve on and she always gave me feedback to help me strengthen my driving. She was calm and supportive throughout and really helped with building my confidence on the road since I first began my lessons with her. I’m forever grateful and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable encouraging instructor.
