Place Dubai mall Kiosk.I had a highly unpleasant experience with a seller named Mohammad. After making a payment, I asked for a tax refund registry for tourists. He assured me that such registration was no longer necessary, and the new system merely required displaying the invoice at the airport to receive the VAT refund.Skeptical of his claim, I checked with various shops, all of which confirmed that registering the purchase and providing passport details to the VAT system was indeed mandatory for the VAT refund. Within just 30 minutes, I returned to Mohammad, politely requesting a refund and the return of the perfume.He refused and impolitely denied my right to return the item unless I opened it!!Frustrated by his response, I mentioned my intention to escalate the matter to the Dubai consumer authority. Mohammad dismissively encouraged me to do so.I approached the mall's information desk and explained the situation. Upon verifying that the invoice and the original packaging remained untouched, they intervened and facilitated the return of my money at the reef kiosk while I waited at the info desk.
