my dog went in for routine vaccines in jan 22 asked if they would check his teeth because he had started drooling on walks, vet said no problems, he had an episode of vomiting blood in april took him in he had full bloods done and very quick examination of teeth when i mentioned his drooling again, bloods came back perfect, so said they would take out some teeth told me it would be £620 for extractions! my daughter took him in on the morning because i wanted the time off work after he had it done. told her to give them her number to say when he was ready because i have no reception in work, the vet then rang my 16 year old daughter to tell her he had died, i know it does happen but he was a fit healthy 8 year old yorkie, climbed scafell pike few months ago, walked at least 5 miles a day. They said he had a large heart and no way they could of known!! after my daughter contacting me at work we went to see him and they had wrapped him in a pink and white blanket, surely you would know the sex of the dog, then the poor girl of reception came out with the card machine and charged me £228 for them to kill him, if he had been poorly and they had been trying to save him i could understand this, but how many healthy pets actually die in their care that they still charge you, I am so angry with them not only because he died in their care but because they didnt even care enough to know what sex he was or think that its good to tell a 16 year old he had died instead of asking her contact me.
