Absolutely compassionate vets

Absolutely compassionate vets, dedicated, professional and empathetic to the pet and owner. Reasonably priced but you get what you pay for excellent quality of service from all the team. Have been a client for 15+ yrs wish I’d been with them earlier honestly.

No compassion

Can’t find zero. Took my dog who is in hid last days. He has been on tablet form gabapentin for 2 years prescribed by this practice. They prescribed him Liquid which I can’t give because he bites when I put in his mouth. Explained to them told them I’m recovering from cancer and unable to work and on benefits if the Could compromise. No. Heartless and ruthless. Vet Ishowed no emotion when I cried after diagnosis. I Pleasa avoid I was charged £60 for medics I couldn’t use and told to pay again. They should have read his records to see he was on tablet form , poor poor service

Thank You Regan Vets @Park Veterinary Clinic in Prestwich

I’d just like to express my appreciation to all the staff at Regan Vets for all your assistance when it was time to say goodbye to my late partner’s cat - Alfie - who I had been looking after following her death earlier this year. The vet was exceptional in both his care for Alfie and his concern for me.Thank you too to the staff both on the day, to Vicky who handled my insurance claim, and to whoever sent me the lovely mementos of Alfie.-RA Cooke

Minus stars if I could

Minus stars if I could. I just had a terrible awful experience with this vet after taking my dog into them for an operation to remove some loose teeth. I made an appointment over the phone 2 days earlier and was told I could take him in at 8.30am and his operation will be done straight away and with great urgency. I told the receptionist that I would have to take the day off work unpaid but would take the appointment. I got to the vets and had to wait sometime in a filthy waiting room which obviously hadn’t been cleaned for some time and had dirt on the floor and walls. Even their consulting rooms were filthy. I was then seen by a vet with very limited English skills and was told in broken English that my dog will not be seen til maybe 1pm as they are short staffed and my dog would have to be placed in a cage until then. I told him that the receptionist had previously assured me that my dog would be seen at 8.30. He said there is nothing I can do but I can speak to the head receptionist Rachael to see if she could help. I approached Rachel and tried to explain what had happened and she immediately went on the defence. She said if I wanted to complain then I had to put it in writing and to go online, even though she refused to give me the information I required. I said I wanted to complain about the receptionist who booked my appointment as she gave me the wrong info and I lost money from taking time off work as a result. Rachael told me that she cannot give me names of the staff who work there. I said to her that she seemed very rude and unhelpful, that’s when a lady vet who was stood around overheard our conversation started talking over me and said Rachael is not rude and i have to put a complaint in writing and she was so inhospitable with me. I said I would take my dog to another vets and would like to cancel my petplan instalments. I was then told that I cannot cancel the petplan as it was for a 12 months fixed period. I feel that this vets is a truly awful disorganised practice with no empathy or good customer communication skills.Obviously it’s just after making money. And when u have a concern or a complaint they just disregard you and fob u off. I’ve tried to contact the CVS GROUP who owns them, but you can only leave a message on their answer machine. My advice to customers who use this vet is to be very very careful as I don’t want anyone to be treated as I have done. And to anyone who is thinking of joining them then PLEASE take your loving pet to a more professional and caring practice. Oh and after I tried to complain they emailed me to say they was terminating my account with them as I have been rude, aggressive and racist. All made up of course. Be careful when using this practise. Terrible terrible place.

I had a great vet before I moved…

I had a great vet before I moved cities. Why didn't Regan vets follow the recommendations of my last vet? If my pet records are good enough for me to travel to different countries why weren't they good enough for the vet to follow my last vet's vaccination recommendations. This is the only vet in the history of my animals care that decided not to follow the last vet's recommendations. I have had vets in the USA, Canada and France and in London, however vet decided to not follow the vaccination recommendations. When the the vet makes medical decisions about your dog without consulting you it is VERY concerning. When.an unnecessary procedure is justified without consulting you - it's a major problem. In the history of medical care of my dog, this is the first time I've ever posted a negative review of a veterinary clinic. It's really concerning when they make decisions for you. I will not be returning to this clinic after the completion of his vaccinations. I have never been so upset with a medical practice. Unbelievable . There is no need to double vaccinate my dogThe worst part is the vet offered no apology and continued to justify her actions*Update. I sent the vet an email that I would finish the course of vaccinations and not return. Emma in turn sent a letter to me stating that she was discontinuing services without completing the course of treatment vaccinations but that they would offered a small refund for one of the vaccinations. Keep in mind that she accused me of being threatening when I stated that I would escalate the complaint. How is that threatening? This is very unprofessional. Some of the animal clinics are low stocked on vaccinations and I am advised to use the same brand of vaccines. Which means I may have restart his vaccinations.

They killed my dog

my dog went in for routine vaccines in jan 22 asked if they would check his teeth because he had started drooling on walks, vet said no problems, he had an episode of vomiting blood in april took him in he had full bloods done and very quick examination of teeth when i mentioned his drooling again, bloods came back perfect, so said they would take out some teeth told me it would be £620 for extractions! my daughter took him in on the morning because i wanted the time off work after he had it done. told her to give them her number to say when he was ready because i have no reception in work, the vet then rang my 16 year old daughter to tell her he had died, i know it does happen but he was a fit healthy 8 year old yorkie, climbed scafell pike few months ago, walked at least 5 miles a day. They said he had a large heart and no way they could of known!! after my daughter contacting me at work we went to see him and they had wrapped him in a pink and white blanket, surely you would know the sex of the dog, then the poor girl of reception came out with the card machine and charged me £228 for them to kill him, if he had been poorly and they had been trying to save him i could understand this, but how many healthy pets actually die in their care that they still charge you, I am so angry with them not only because he died in their care but because they didnt even care enough to know what sex he was or think that its good to tell a 16 year old he had died instead of asking her contact me.

££££££ ON THE MIND ONLY

After using Regans for the past 15 years I have just changed to Vets4Pets. It seems they have £££££ on their minds only. I spent approx £800 on tests for my cat for them to not even have the courtesy to ring me and discuss the results in depth and what course of action they thought was best for him. I rang up a week later and still no call from the vet. But yet they hounded me day and night via phone and email for a shortfall my insurance had not paid of £13.00. Found it totally disgusting. I also found out from a friend that my other cat who had several teeth extracted approx 10 months prior to this at Regans that I had been severally overcharged. She paid £246 for her cat to have 4 teeth extracted with vets4pets and I paid approx £450 for my cat to have 5-6 teeth extracted and I was told that was with my healthy pet club discount that is suppose to be 50% of dentals.
