They will reward those that turn down their thermostats in the Texas summer, but for someone like me that already keeps the thermostat higher they don’t care. At this time in the morning my thermostat is at 82f, and around 12pm I move it down to 81f. Around 2pm it goes to 80f and usually stays there all night. I called in a while back and asked if I would get a discount because they had a program turn your thermostat up 4 degrees, I believe, and you would get something…I forget what it was…I just received an email saying reduce electricity and get to earn bill credits…Punish those that don’t run their ac a lot and reward those that do, but will turn it up.. Makes 0 sense…They do have a good solar panel plan….Reliant…Reward those of us that use electricity less all the time too….
