I have been a loyal customer since 2024, but my recent experience has forced me to close my account.
Remitly placed a hold on my transaction without justification. I complied with their requests, uploading my government ID twice. However, customer service has been an absolute nightmare of conflicting stories and unprofessionalism.
First, a representative called 5 hours later demanding the same details, and hung up when I questioned why my uploaded ID wasn't sufficient. When I called back, a different representative, Hareesh, changed the story, claiming my account was "too old" and then shifting blame to the recipient's wallet account demanding to channel my transaction to bank account instead.
After 2 years, this is how you treat customers? It is shameful to be treated as if they are providing a service in a third world country while operating in the UK. If you don't want to experience this degrading treatment, I strongly advise taking your business elsewhere.
