This is not my 1st time dealing with Rent a Center. The 1st time I was staying in another city and it was a pleasant experience. This store here in Marshall is a piece of work. I was faithfully paying my bill on time every month. No problem. When the Co-Vid hit and our jobs was shut down I ask is there anything I can do or file a claim to help with my payments. First the answer was no. Then I called corporate and I was told I could use the club if I wanted. Come to find out there was never a claim filed on my behalf. I tried to pay something on my account when I could and I spoke with the manager and explain. It was like she didn't want to hear it. Heard a conversation about me when I came in to pay something on the account to show good faith that I was trying. When I spoke with one of the area manager about that situation they both denied it. When I was able to return to work I immediately start working to catch up. When I went in to pay i said I would pay on my account every 2 weeks. Well the 4th time a payment was to be made my husband went in the store to make a payment the worker stated asking him how I get paid. If it was monthly then she can't accept my payment every 2 weeks. I informed them if it was a problem they could come pick up the merchandise. It's always one thing or another with them. I've had other merchandise I purchase and paid. I've also return a merchandise so I could be done dealing with this company sooner. Now you gonna tell me how to spend my money. I don't think so. Note to my self: never deal with this business again once this merchandise is paid off. Maybe a class for the employees need to be taught on customer service. If I could rate this company with a negative sign it would be a negative 5.
