Very disappointed with this company – the cancellation process is completely misleading and highly unprofessional.
I had to cancel my booking because I was allocated an electric vehicle, which was not suitable for an urgent trip to visit my father in hospital in Manchester.
The real issue, however, was the cancellation process itself. The original booking reference I was sent (1200633756) simply did not work, meaning I couldn’t cancel the booking at all. I spent over an hour trying to resolve this, only to then be given a completely different reference (782 904 821) by EuroCar, which finally allowed me to cancel.
This is incredibly confusing and clearly a flaw in their system.
Despite all of this, I am now being charged £212. Given the circumstances and the time wasted trying to cancel using the incorrect details they provided, this feels completely unfair.
The whole experience has been frustrating, stressful, and far below any reasonable standard of service.
I will not be using this company again and would strongly advise others to think twice before booking, any 3rd party booking for car rental.. go direct its cheaper and better customers service with real people who really care and understand
