After dropping my rental at the airport, I left and a few days later got notice that there was damage to the car. Now, it's important to know that you get reimbursed - unlike buying coverage at the rental counter - which I didn't realize til I needed to make a claim. So I did have to fork out $1400 for the damage. Ouch. It took a few months for Enterprise to get me all of the paperwork on the damage, which was stressful b/c I couldn't lay my own eyes on it. After I got the paperwork, I took a breathe and submitted everything. Now, it's a lot of paperwork to gather, but doable mostly possible to do online. It only took three days for to get approved, then I had the option to get my reimbursement via Venmo. You just never know how insurance works til you have a problem. My advice, this is cheaper than buying at the counter, but be prepared to pay out of pocket and be reimbursed. That said, it went smoothly and I'd consider it again.
