I rented a car at Naples Airport with RENTSMART24 and paid in advance. However, when I arrived to collect the car with my family — including my young daughter — I was told I couldn’t have the car because I didn’t have a credit card. This left us stranded at the airport with no vehicle and no help from the company.When I called to ask for a refund (since I never received the car), I was told that refunds are only possible if you cancel at least 48 hours before pickup. This policy makes no sense, especially when the problem happened at the pickup desk. Even the staff at the Naples counter admitted that this rule about requiring a credit card and refusing alternatives is unreasonable.To make things worse, I went to Hertz, and they had no issue renting me a car without a credit card — which shows that the policy of this company is unnecessarily strict and not customer-friendly.Customer service was cold, unhelpful, and completely unwilling to assist.I strongly do not recommend this company to anyone — especially families or travelers who expect fair treatment and flexibility.
